[ENT] Berbatov makes Premier League predictions including Man Utd and Tottenham

Dimitar Berbatov has cast his eye over the weekend’s Premier League action and made predictions for each match, including the blockbuster clash between Tottenham and Manchester City.

Already being touted as a potential title decider, Pep Guardiola faces an old adversary in Jose Mourinho at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening.

That game is followed by Manchester United’s home tie with West Brom, with the Red Devils aiming to build on their win over Everton before the international break.

On Sunday, injury-struck Liverpool host Leicester and Arsenal face a stiff test as they travel to Leeds, with Berbatov telling Betfair he predicts an entertaining game at Elland Road.

Here are the former Bulgarian ace’s picks for all 10 games this weekend, in chronological order:

Berbatov is confident of a Blues win at St James’ Park

Newcastle vs Chelsea (Sat 12:30pm)

The Blues are flying in attack and at the back they’ve conceded just one goal in their last three matches. It’s all coming together for Frank Lampard’s men and I expect another win. Prediction: 0-3.

Aston Villa vs Brighton (Sat 3pm)

Nobody expected Villa to win so emphatically against Arsenal last time out. I hope Dean Smith’s men can build on that and gain consistency. Prediction: 2-0.

Tottenham vs Manchester City (Sat 5:30pm)

Berbatov believes Spurs boss Mourinho can outwit his opposite number Guardiola

I want to see my old team Tottenham win, so that they can say to the whole league that they’re serious about challenging for the title, and I believe they will win. Prediction: 2-1.

Manchester United vs West Brom (Sat 8pm)

A perfect chance for United to get their first home win of the season. West Brom are struggling and United must seize this opportunity with both hands – or both feet, if you like. Prediction: 3-0.

Fulham vs Everton (Sun 12pm)

Everton could return to winning ways at Craven Cottage after a run of three defeats

Everton have slipped up recently but this is still a really tough one for Scott Parker’s men. Everton will win this but not by much. Prediction: 0-1.

Sheffield United vs West Ham (Sun 2pm)

The Blades are struggling to score goals and are conceding too many. But I still think they can come good, starting with a win here. Prediction: 2-1.

This will be a good game to watch. Leeds play attractive football and leave spaces for opponents to counter-attack, so there will be goals. Prediction: 2-2.

Liverpool vs Leicester (Sun 7:15pm)

I will be interested to see how Liverpool replace their missing players but whoever comes in needs to be at the top of their game. Leicester play great football and Jamie Vardy, who is flying, can exploit Liverpool’s makeshift defence. Prediction: 1-2.

Burnley vs Crystal Palace (Mon 5:30pm)

Two shrewd managers pit their wits at Turf Moor on Monday night and I can see it ending honours even with goals at both ends. Prediction: 1-1.

Wolves vs Southampton (Mon 8pm)

Saints are going under the radar as one of the most impressive sides in the top flight so far. Wolves are still quality too so this is a difficult one to predict but something tells me the visitors can march on at Molineux. Prediction: 0-1.
