[ENT] Hilarious dating trends for 2021 – including Tok-blocking and Barnard Castling

While online dating was once seen as a last resort, it’s now a common way that many people meet their other half.

Now, dating app Plenty of Fish has revealed 11 hilarious new dating terms for 2021, including Tok-blocking and Barnard Castling.

Shannon Smith, Relationship and dating expert for Plenty of Fish said: “This year has brought about some major shake-ups in how people date, and with that shift comes new trends that singles are experiencing – many of them brand new.”

Plenty of Fish came up with the terms based on a survey of over 3,000 members.

Here’s a look at the dating trends to expect in 2021, as we prepare to wave goodbye to 2020.

Baby Zoomers – The new ‘generation’ of babies conceived during lockdown

Barnard-castling – Getting caught out by your partner for using outlandish excuses
