[ENT] Jade Thirlwall hints at TV presenting future amid Little Mix solo career rumours

Jade Thirlwall has hinted she might break away from the music world to focus on television presenting as rumours swirl Little Mix are on the cusp of splitting up to pursue solo careers.

The future of Little Mix has been in question since earlier in the week when singer Jesy Nelson announced she will be taking a break from the band due to private medical reasons.

Now 27-year-old chart topping star Jade has added support to the rumours that all four members of the band – which also includes Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards – could go their separate ways.

The South Shields star is said to be lining up television projects for herself for when Little Mix presumably go on hiatus.

Jade Thirlwall has hinted she may step in to TV presenting

The Sun quotes her saying on Friday: “I have been filming today for a TV interview show, thing. That’s how it’s worded, yeah.”

Jade’s latest comments follow remarks she made during an interview with Australian radio station Hit Network.

She told the radio station: “I definitely want to travel more. I would love to go backpacking so much.

“Even when I went to New Zealand the last time, we literally flew in there for one night and all I saw was outside my hotel room, and that was it.

“My mum had a better experience than I did because she stayed out another night with my family. I was flying back and I called her and was like, ‘What you up to and she was like, ‘Oh, Jade, I’m jumping off the something building, what’s that famous building?’

“I was like, ‘Wow, my mum is really out here living her best life, while I’m going from one venue to the next’.”

Jade also explained during her chat that Little Mix will continue to exist in some form irrespective of the bands’ solo ambitions.

She said: “You know, eventually in the future we might go off and do our own bits and bobs – but Little Mix will literally never die.”

She assured fans: “We’ve always said that – we’re like, we always need Little Mix.”
