[ENT] Man Utd squad’s reaction to Pogba’s Madrid comments show how he’s viewed in team

Paul Pogba’s Manchester United’s teammates are believed to still be behind the player despite yet more comments from his direction about his “dream” of moving to Real Madrid.

The French midfielder has long been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and has more than once spoken about his desire to play in La Liga in the future.

This has often frustrated supporters of the Red Devils, who would rather he keep his mouth shut and do his talking on the pitch rather than off it.

But according to Manchester Evening News it is not something which negatively affects his colleagues at United who, by and large, are big fans of Pogba.

Paul Pogba once again hinted at a future move to Real Madrid while on international duty with France

He is said to be one of the most popular figures at the club, and has a close friendship with a number of key first-team players.

And despite having an inauspicious start to the season, many members of staff at United also still believe Pogba is the most talented player at the club, and he is highly regarded both on and off the pitch.

For those reasons, United are still reluctant to sell the 27-year-old despite his injury issues and the fact he would likely jump at the chance to join the likes of Madrid.

His latest come-and-get-me plea came last week while on international duty with France.

Yes, all footballers would like to play for Real Madrid. Maybe it is a dream. It is a dream for me. Why not one day?”

It remains to be seen if the transfer links to some of the elite clubs around Europe begin again in January or next summer, but for now Pogba will have to focus on helping turn United’s season around and proving his worth following a less-than-sterling start to the season.
