  • N-Power: When Stipend Payment Will Commence?

Monthly payments (30,000 stipends) so far are made every month to about 500,000 N-Power volunteers across the country.

We had earlier reported that the beneficiary is concerned about the “habitual delay of his monthly stipend” by the N-Power scheme.

502,580 bonafide enrolees of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s N-Power programme are yet to get paid their June/July stipends.

At the present time, one day into the new month of August, beneficiaries are still waiting to be paid for June and July.

Today July month going to end, yet, beneficiaries have not been settled their June stipend as well as July stipend.

This has caused many of them to come on social media (Twitter most especially) to demand their payment.

Npower Update: FG approves outstanding payment (Batch A & B)

The Federal Government has approved the payment of stipends to the exiting N-Power beneficiaries under the National Social Investment Programmes.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, said the only outstanding approval waiting to be forwarded to the accountant-general’s office was for the payment of July 2020 stipends for Batch B beneficiaries.

Umar-Farouq also explained that the Batches A and B N-Power beneficiaries knew from the beginning as they were informed that the programme was for 24 months.

N-Power Update: Exited beneficiaries will be absorbed into MDAs

– The FG has said that the exited N-Power beneficiaries would be absorbed into MDAs –
Hajiya Sadiya Farouq made this known on Thursday, August 27, in Abuja –

Farouq said she has directed Focal Persons of National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) in the states to submit an updated list of the exited N-Power beneficiaries

She says discussions are ongoing to ensure that exited and eligible N-Power beneficiaries are absorbed into government programmes.

N-Power: FG extends Batch C enrolment Aug 8

The Federal Government says the enrolment for Batch C scheme of the N-Power Programme which started on June 26 will now close on August 8.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, who disclosed this via Twitter on Sunday night, said over 5 million applications have been received for the scheme.

“In a bid to extend the opportunity to all Nigerians and ensure it is truly inclusive, the portal will close at midnight on August 8th, 2020.”

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has officially declared the Batch C recruitment portal for N-power closed.

Farouq made the announcement in a series of tweets, disclosing that the Ministry received over five million applications

The government has a job space for only 400,000 persons.

“The N-Power Batch C application portal closed on Sunday, August 9, 2020, after receiving over 5m applications.

“As we embark on the review process, efforts are in high gear to clear the stipends for Batch A and B before onboarding the new set of beneficiaries,” she tweeted

Meanwhile, the exiting Batch A and B are yet to receive their stipends for two months.

N-Power Batch News Update: Federal Government hints on those to be enrolled

More than 4.48 million Nigerians have so far applied on the online portal for N-Power’s third batch of recruits.

The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, provided the update via his Twitter page on Sunday evening.

Only 400,000 applicants will be absorbed into the third batch of the N-Power National Social Investment Scheme (NSIP) at the end of the recruitment exercise.

Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, on Friday gave an update on the N-Power programme as Batch C will commence soon.

She spoke at an event in commemoration of the ministry’s first year anniversary in Abuja.

Farouq announced that as at the last count, 109, 823 beneficiaries from Batch A and B have set up businesses in their communities.

“We have successfully exited the 500,000 Batch A and B beneficiaries and closed registration for Batch C with a total of 5,042,001 registrations received.”

The minister assured that applicants to be selected would be just the qualified ones.

“As we move to the selection stage, the Ministry will ensure due diligence will be applied to ensure that only duly qualified applicants are enrolled,” Farouq said.
