UF Graduate School Application and Requirements:

The UF graduate school application procedures are set by the University of Florida High School, the University of Florida School of Journalism and Communication, and your applicable area of ​​expertise.

The minimum requirements to be considered for admission to the UF Graduate schools are:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university or college
  • A minimum upper-division undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Official transcripts
  • 3 Letters of recommendation that can come from supervisors, co-workers, instructors, or any person you feel can speak to your ability to succeed in your graduate studies.
  • Submit official GRE Score
  • Work experience
  • Application form
  • Resume or CV

Additional Instructions for International Students

If you are an international student, these information is for you;

  • You must submit to the Office of Admissions an official copy in the native language of each transcript, mark sheet and diploma/degree certificate from each university or college attended, along with certified, literal (exact) English translations for documents not originally issued in English.
  • Note, UF requires proficiency in spoken and written English and accepts the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The university’s TOEFL code is 5812.

UF Graduate School Application

UF Graduation school application is an online process.

First is to apply and submit UF’s non-refundable application fee of $30.00. Before then, it is expedient you First contact the department of the degree program to which you want to apply, to find out its specific requirements and deadlines for graduate applicants.

After then, you follow the procedures given to you by the department on how to submit the application fee, test scores and transcripts.

After 24-48 hours you submitted your online application, your 8-digit UFID will be available on the status of your application. Please use the same username and password used to submit your CollegeNET application.

Note, you test score results must be sent directly to UF from the testing agency.
